Jeanne Nestler-Rebeau
Biography
Born 1938 in Beuthen (Upper Silesia), lives in Graz.
1952 – 1956 Graz School of Arts and Crafts (Adametz, Szyszkowitz);
1958 – 1964 Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (Dobrowsky, Boeckl – diploma for painting).
Member of Forum Stadtpark Graz.
Her areas of work are sculpture, photography, object and installation art. Known for her socio-critical object formulations, installations and photo series (“body projections”), she shows general social developments with feminist commitment, starting from her personal environment. The human body is the dominant subject in her art. In addition, joint projects with N.Nestler („Haut“ since 1981, „Der Große Wald“, Drakenprojekt since 1987, „Skinwall“ since 1999).

Norbert Nestler
Biography
born 1942 in Wien, died on January 9, 2014 in Graz.
1960 – 1965 Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (Dobrowsky, Boeckl, Weiler – diploma for painting) and University of Vienna. Member of Forum Stadtpark Graz. Artists in the multimedia space. Became known through expressive object designs in plexiglass, aluminium, velvet and other new materials, with experimental graphics between collotype, printing and photographic techniques („photograph“), movement photography „Movings“, as well as with body-specific actions („mud conditions“, „living bust“), NN works on the sculptural renewal of concepts, as well as on its realization in ambient design processes. Also joint projects with F. J. Nestler-Rebeau („Haut“ since 1981; „The Great Forest“, Drakenprojekt since 1987, „Skinwall“ since 1999).
